• Flutter will run on Linux. Canonical and Google are working together to add Linux as one of the target platforms for Flutter. So far, the target platforms for Flutter have been Android, iOS, Fuchsia, macOS, Windows, and web apps. Google's latest move means that Flutter will at least get Ubuntu as the new target platform, and most likely all other Linux distributions as well. "By implementing Linux support in Flutter, Canonical will allow developers to easily publish their apps to Linux users via the Snap Store, the Linux app Store," writes Chris Sells of Google and Ken Vandine of Canonical. "By making Linux the target platform for Flutter, Canonical will invite app developers to publish their apps to millions of users and expand the availability of apps on The platform."There is currently an alpha version of Flutter for Ubuntu, but both companies are interested in developing Flutter. "Canonical is investing heavily in Flutter, allocating a development team to work with Google. The company will continue to work with Google to further improve Linux support and maintain feature parity with other supported platforms, " Canonical said in a statement.

These panels will replace the classic Office interface in the form of tapes, which has existed since 2007. In addition, each application will have a built-in search function that will work in all office applications. These features and the new user interface will be the same for all computers and mobile devices. However, Microsoft has not yet announced when these changes will appear in Office applications.

  • The successor of the H. 265/HEVC codec — H. 266/VVC is presented Institute of telecommunications. Fraunhofer HHI has officially introduced a new codec called H. 266/Versatile Video Coding (VVC). Over time, it should replace the H. 265/HEVC codec, which is now widely used in Apple devices. Fraunhofer HHI notes that while the H. 265/HEVC codec requires about 10 GB of data to create a 90-minute 4K UHD video, the H. 266/VVC for the same task will only need 5 GB of data. However, the video quality will remain unchanged.
  • Telegram filed a lawsuit against Apple. The complaint States that Apple should " allow users to download software outside of the App Store as well."In its complaint, Telegram did not agree with Apple's argument that the App Store Commission supports its work. Telegram claims that in 2016, Apple blocked the messaging app and did not allow the launch of the gaming platform on the grounds that it was against the App Store's rules. Telegram says this is one example of how Apple is holding back innovation thanks to its "monopoly power" in the app market.

  • Microsoft and Google are teaming up to create a better PWA. Microsoft actively supports Android, and this goes beyond its own apps and devices like the Surface Duo. 3DNews reports that Microsoft is partnering with Google to help bring more quality progressive web apps (PWA) to Android devices via the Play Store. Apps created with the Microsoft PWABuilder tool will use the Google Bubblewrap utility and library to take advantage of new features, including a new standard for web shortcuts, advanced push notifications, and visual settings. It will probably take some time before developers start using the new features in their apps. One way or another, this can really lead to the emergence of new and better "progressive" apps in Google Play.
